What could possibly trigger Hot Flash?
There several things that can trigger hot flash and stress is on top of them all. A study shows that in Hong Kong, Mexico, Japan and Pakistan, menopausal women had only 10% problem of hot flashes while 75% in America. Stress is the main difference identified.
Next to the list of triggers are hot spicy food, caffeinated substances and alcohol. These are the triggers that really need some attention. Alcohol especially red wine can release epinephrine, which triggers hot flashes. As much as possible avoid hot environments or hot baths because they may act as a trigger that can dilate your skin blood vessels naturally. Try to keep your thermostat in a lower as possible, that can be tolerable for you. While the natural physical occurrence for menopausal women is the hormonal changes, it is the emotional pressure that brings on many disorders including hot flashes. In addition, anxiety, depression, suppressed anger and panic disorders are another example of good triggers.
Identifying these kinds of triggers and avoiding them is a good way to manage hot flashes.
