Hot Flashes That Are Not Menopausal Caused by Some Conditions
Unusual conditions can produce flushing because these are thought to secrete chemicals into the blood stream that can stimulate the blood vessels of the brain. Examples are carcinoid syndrome, systemic mast cell disease, carcinoma of the thyroid, pheochromocytoma, renal carcinoma, pancreatic islet-cell tumors, neurological and emotional flushing and spinal cord injury.
If ever you have one of these conditions other than hot flashes, especially blood pressure problems or irregular heart rate, be sure to let you doctor know about it so that the doctor can give the right treatment needed.
